sorry for the delayed entry... I got my Before Sunrise dvd last saturday and it was a good deal from a seller at pinoydvd.. it's a Region1 dvd... it was nicely wrap and sealed.. after getting the dvd i immediately went home and tested the dvd... and all was great.. its a dvd flipper, a double sided dvd.. a fullscreen and a widescreen release of the feature.. and of course i tested the widescreen release of the feature... :) the transfer was excellent! it was way far from the DIY Before Sunrise DVD i made few months ago.. :) its in anamorphic widescreen, so i can't really compare it with my VHS copy in fullscreen hehehe.... i was just happy seeing the film in its full glory.. the menus are just static.. nothing fancy.... but i liked it anyway.. no features included like director's commentary, film info, or making of the movie.. it was just a simple plain vanilla dvd release.. but its the only one out there... :) the sound was great.. dolby digital 2.0 was sufficient enough for the movie.. so i guess a 5.1 dolby digital audio track will just be useless cause the movie just relolves around conversations between ethan and julie and wonderful sceneries of vienna.. :)
well.. Before Sunset will be soon released in US.. so I hope that they'll pack the dvd with more features and infos about the film.. like interviews and commentaries..
i also just bought another film by Linklater called Tape.. it was a great little movie.. there were only three cast for the entire movie. Included in the dvd was a production commentary which was very informative.... i just hope they'll do it the same with the upcoming dvd release for the Before Sunset.. :)
