It's been almost a month that I've been playing the faders of my Behringer UB802. It was quite fun having this mixer. But I was expecting more from the UB802 mixer, but didn't lived up to my expectations. I know that i got a good deal buying the mixer before but there are some few major quirks. HISS!!! Yes, I can't stand the hiss this mixer is making. At first I thought I could just ignore it. But the more I'm using it, the more I got frustrated with the hiss. I really don't know if its a defect or if its just normal for this Behringer mixer. I visited some forums to seek help... (more)

I finally got some supplies to make my own cables.. bought some few meters of high quality mic cables and some cheap xlr connectors.. i got a pair of xlr connectors for 60 pesos while other stores were selling it for 99 pesos each.. :)
when i finished soldering up the wires and connectors i finally connected my mixer to my computer.. i still havent figured out a way to configure kx driver for ASIO recording.. then just a while ago every thing was doing well.. i can monitor the audio from my mixer using ASIO.. :) it was great.. i was getting very low latency values compared to...
For a while now i've been over to different shops in Raon to find a decent and cheap audio mixing console.. I haven't been there for a couple of months now and I was told that there are cheap mixers there for sale.. I've been dying to use my condenser mic properly.. I haven't really fully utilized its full potential.. Its quite a good mic but not quite close to the Shure SM57 that's still in production for over 30 years now.. to harness my mic's full potential I need a mic pre amp with a +48v Phantom Power.. where can I find this mic pre amps? they are readily available here in some...
I got my economy bedroom studio up and running for quite a long time now.. a good quality cheap condenser mic, a MIDI keyboard, a MIDI interface, a good quality aux input, a guitar, a drum machine and etc.. I cant afford buying brand new stuffs to support my lust in making music.. so what I did was to find a cheaper way to get the stuffs i need by occasionally visiting thrift shops and second hand shops.. I bought two nice keyboards there at a bargain price, both are still working perfectly.. second was to read alot of Buy & Sell ads. I got my drum machine there at a very reasonable price..... anyway here it is.. let me know what you think about it..

just right on the link and select "save target as"

These past few days were very dull. I was just in the process of finishing this new song I made last weekend but it ended up to nothing.. I think I need to take a break or do something else for a while to give me some more ideas to finish it.. It was not always like this, because when I used to create a song few years back it was just like picking apples from a tree.. But now, I was spending a lot of time just to finish this new one.. It was frustrating, really..
Maybe I would just give it time.. Maybe watch some more films... or sleep it over....

I got this idea few years back.. by creating an audio file of Before Sunrise for my mp3 player.. Anyway my first attempt was recording the audio from the my very old VHS tape of Before Sunrise.. It was quite okay.. because I dont have any choice so the audio was quite clear enough but it got some noise and few pops because it came from an analog source.. I did enjoyed it.. but was not that happy with the quality... Then came along the dvd... it was quite hard acquiring a copy of Before Sunrise years back because Warner Philippines didn't give a damn of releasing a dvd... (more)

A media center that I've always dreamed of..

Many years back I had this obsession about building a perfect media center for our living room..
it must play almost every media I feed in to it.. like videos, music, pictures, stream radio via the net.. well fortunately I made one.. its an AMD K62 PC with a 400mhz processor speed.. it was connected via ethernet port.. it was okay.. it was running windows 2000 pro OS.. it didn't last that long because it just feels like a PC connected to television.. it lacks intuitive controls and you need a mouse and a keyboard to get around with almost any obstables of windows.. after a few months...
It's been quite a while that I haven't posted here in my blog site. Just been very busy fixing the ups and downs of life. I've always intended to make use of this site to say what's inside my head also talk about film that I've watched so far.. Or films that have touched my life and films that I couldn't help watching allover again.. As for the previous post here in my blog I'm a Before Sunrise/Sunset fan.. Why I liked the film is because of the simplicity and authenticity of it. There's a part of us that always wanting to find a Celine or Jessie in our lives.. By watching this film...
Before Sunset review

Those months of craving, just to have a glimpse of Before Sunset is over. I finally managed to get hold of a screener video of the movie. Though I wont discuss any technical details about the video or audio quality of the video I got. What I will be discussing is a about how did they manage to fuse Before Sunrise and Before Sunset. Those nine long years of stillness. An open ending that we just wished that someone knew how it ended. That’s what kept me clinging on to Before Sunrise. It ended not with a happy nor sad ending. But it made some of us empty in some way making us want to know... (more)
